One really does have to admit (no matter their feelings on religion in general, Christianity in more-or-less specific, and Episcopalians in specific, as well as Catholics) that gothic cathedrals are some of the most beautiful works of archetecture found in the world. There is something in the design, something in the way that they are built, that creates this feeling of uplifting, removing oneself from the mortal realm and being pushed into the heavenly.
Whatever it is, it makes for excellent photos. (What a cynic I am. ^_^)

Yes, these flowers are indeed from the national zoo. I just thought they were so cool, and merited their own posting. A bit blurry, but hey, it's an imperfect science. I don't have a tripod or anything like that.
